Three new acts ready for Roskilde
The Temper Trap, Electrojuice and FM Belfast are added to the festival poster.Today's batch of new acts is good news for fans of both rock and electronic music.
THE TEMPER TRAP (AUS) knows the same secret music recipes that have made U2, Coldplay and Muse into world stars. Singer Dougy Mandagi delivers exquisite vocals – a singing voice so captivating that he could sing about stock exchanges and still make the small hairs stand up. The Temper Trap may very well be on the brink of great fame.
ELECTROJUICE (DK) blends electronica, hip hop and techno and has already supported The Prodigy and Kraftwerk on tour. The young duo made their debut with the EP Solrock where they demonstrate that they are part of the same musical family as Trentemøller.
FM BELFAST (ISL) plays electronic pop music with a festive groove and a tongue-in-cheek attitude. The band writes engaging songs about city life, restlessness and escape but has also won many hearts with a unique interpretation of Rage Against The Machine's "Killing in the Name".
More music next week
It's cold in Northern Europe, but Roskilde hope that this week's total of four new acts (including Jack Johnson) can make the winter seem a little warmer. Next week Roskilde hope for better weather – if nothing else, Roskilde can promise new exciting names.
