This year the project will focus on youth with a special tree-planting event in partnership with Denver non-profit organizations The Park People and Cerebral Palsy (CP) of Colorado. FEATURED ARTIST: VAMPIRE WEEKEND After forming a scant two years ago at Columbia, Vampire Weekend began their forays into making kids dance by playing shows for the universitys literary society. After self-releasing their initial EPs, they suddenly found themselves a buzz band. In March 2008 SPIN Magazine named them The Years Best New Band, and this summer you could hear their song A-Punk over the opening credits of the Will Ferrell vehicle Step Brothers. So yes, they are everywhere--unbutton that collar and get ready to dance with Vampire Weekend. Vampire Weekend is performing on on Saturday, Sept 13th
