Grace Potter is currently on her headlining September tour with stops throughout the Midwest, South, and Northeast, and she has also revealed a new music video made in collaboration with NASA for her song “Look What We’ve Become”.
Shot at the Johnson Space Center, the video features women engineers, astronauts and scientists, with the goal being to encourage young women to go into and remain engaged in STEM careers.
“This project came out of left field in the best way possible! It’s refreshing to explore my interests beyond music, and this collaboration with NASA is such a perfect blend of all the things I really love, presented with a profoundly important message.
"I’ve always had my head in the clouds, indulging my fascination with the universe and space exploration. But, it’s important to bring those ideas back down to Earth in a way that can connect with young women who are finding their way in the world. My song was not written with this project in mind, but the message certainly fits. Everyone faces resistance in life, but resistance can also light a fire inside us and it’s important to recognize that.
"The underlying message, for me, is to encourage young women to not just raise the bars set by our heroes, but to break through the bars completely. The hope is that as we grow and evolve we’ll apply these breakthroughs, and I think empowerment through education is a great place to start.”

You can watch the video here, and find out more information about the project on NASA.gov.
