Pokey LaFarge
with guests The Cactus Blossoms
Thursday, May 5th
Doors: 8pm Show: 9pm
at Imperial

Pokey LaFarge is no stranger to the VFMF audience. Last year, you all packed in at Stage 3 for the band's main set, which really showed us how much Pokey and co. have grown. LaFarge has created a vibrant, deeply expressive body of work that embodies an expansive musical vision and vivid storytelling sensibility that are wholly his own. He's also earned a reputation as a tireless, uniquely charismatic live performer, winning a loyal international fan base that regularly packs his rousing, celebratory live shows.

The Cactus Blossoms of Minneapolis open the show. Brothers Jack Torrey and Page Burkum's hypnotic harmonies and unforgettable songs have made them favorites in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul music scene.

Elephant Revival with Mandolin Orange
Thursday, April 7th
Doors: 7:30pm Show: 8:30pm
The Fox Cabaret
Standing room only

Hot off touring with Josh Ritter, Colorado's Elephant Revival continues to clock up more miles as they begin a new tour with Mandolin Orange in a few days. The tour supports the release of their 6th album, Petals, to be released on April 1. Their music is deeply rooted in American and Celtic songcraft and they are one of those bands that are best heard live.

Opening is North Carolina duo, Mandolin Orange whose music can be described as being "laced with bluegrass, country and folk...often wistful and contemplative without being somber, and always firmly grounded in the South." This band is going places, so make sure to get to the show early not to miss them!
