Brit power to Roskilde

"Brit power to Roskilde | GoRockfest.Com - The Latest Rockfest, Artist's Live News"

Kasabian and Wild Beasts are added to the music programme.

Union Jack sways proudly over today's announcement. Roskilde have two solid, British bands ready, of which especially the first has been in high demand among Roskilde audience.

KASABIAN are England’s new superstars, and on their latest album, West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum, they really unfold their strong-on-refrains but also experimental Brit rock. The band continues the tradition from Oasis, Primal Scream and The Stone Roses but also chases new sounds. In the UK, they are presented with the biggest font sizes on magazine front-pages and festival posters. The concert at Roskilde Festival is Kasabian's very first on Danish soil.

WILD BEASTS play mystical, moonstruck and melodic indie pop that would make both Morrissey and Brett Anderson nod proudly in approval. The band’s second album – Two Dancers from 2009 – fulfills the promises made on the debut album from the year before: pop, folk, funk and cabaret combined in an original wrapping from a band that is already confident about its musical mission.
